SOUTH side of West Harrisville Road, No Longer Exists

1910

The home at approximately 1011 West Harrisville Road was owned by Larry and Mary Ellen Geary Larsson who owned property on both the south and north side of West Harrisville Rd.  Larry and his son Edward were very successful farmers known throughout the farming industry.  Students from Utah State Agricultural College often visited their place, as it was an example of excellent farming.  In 1941 the property on the south side of the street was taken over by the federal government for a military installation and was annexed into Ogden City.  The two-story white house remained on the property and was used to house federal government officials.  After the end of World War II, the house was used as a day care center.  It was later torn down to make room for apartment buildings owned by Michael Conway, a great grandson of Larry and Mary Ellen Larsson.
