Keith and Patricia Hardy moved the top floor of an army barrack built for housing during WWII onto a foundation on property acquired from his parents, Harvey and Mildred Romrell Hardy, who were living next door at 1138 N. Harrisville Road.  Keith and Pat placed the structure on a cement foundation, remodeled it, and finished the exterior with brick.  They later added an addition onto the back.  Their son, David, and his wife, Jeraldene, became the next owners.
