This home is presumed to have been built by Alfred William Taylor, son of Pleasant Green Taylor and wife Clara.  Alfred married Ada Marion Hicks in 1873 and eventually moved to Idaho. They had eleven children. She was sick after giving birth to the eleventh child and died in 1895.  Alfred gave the baby to his brother Levi and wife Josephine to raise.  The baby died 10 April 1896.

Later in 1902, Alfred married Laura A. Bramwell and ended up back in Utah in this same home. Alfred and Laura had no children.

When Alfred died, Laura continued living in the home the remainder of her life (1957). Everyone in the neighborhood affectionately called her “Aunt Laura”.

Robert L. Pence is known to have lived here, and Kip and Laraine Moellendorf also made this their home for a few years before they sold it to the current owners and moved to another home in Harrisville.
