Ronald and Diane DeVries purchased the property on which an old wooden frame house once stood but had since been demolished. They built a lovely frame brick masonry veneer rambler style home with full basement in 1979.

The Grant B. Thorsted Family are the last residents to live in the old frame home before it was vacated, demolished, and sold to Ronald (Ron) and Diane DeVries. For many years, Ron grew a beautiful garden where the old home once stood. In the fall, he shared huge banana squash that he grew with neighbors and friends.
