Virgil and Eleanor Crowther Painter built this frame red brick masonry veneer ranch style home with full basement in 1952. The red brick on this home has since been painted white.
The Painters were one of the first families in the neighborhood to have a television. Neighborhood children loved to go there on occasion to watch cartoons.
Painters sold the home and moved to Farr West, but returned to Harrisville in 1961, and built the home at 938 North Harrisville Road.
When owners Jack E. and Shanna Garner owned the home, an addition which included a back porch was added to the rear of the original home.
Earl Sprinkle is also known to have lived here.
