1911
This home was constructed in 1911 by Morgan Lake. It is frame vinyl construction painted white.
Albert and Ellen Growberg Crowther bought this home in 1918 and lived here many years; the home was about a block east of the homes belonging to Albert’s brother, William Crowther, and their father David Crowther.
The home included additional property north and west of the home. In 1944, Albert and Ellen divided a building lot from their property for their son Chester Crowther (944 North Harrisville Road), and in 1961, a lot for daughter Eleanor and husband Virgil Painter (938 North Harrisville Road). After Albert and Ellen died, the home was rented for a while. Some of the known renters included: Douglas Hammer, and Ronald Woodland.
In 1969, Lowell and Marie Knight moved from 535 North Harrisville Road into a home they built north of Painter’s home (1011 North 325 West). Lowell Knight purchased remaining property, and developed Knights Subdivision including a new road, 325 West, where some of his children built homes.
