Chester and Deliah Crowther (Chester is the son of Albert and Ellen Groberg Crowther, who lived at 930 North Harrisville Road) built this flat roof masonry concrete block stuccoed home in 1944.  It has a few steps down from the kitchen to a half basement, and one room on top of the flat roof.  The top room was recently covered with a pitched roof.  The remainder of the flat roof is finished with gravel.  

Chester sold the home to his sister, Jennie Crowther Dabb, and her husband Ralph Dabb.  They were both born and raised in Harrisville, and after living elsewhere for a while, they had returned to Harrisville and were living at 875 North Harrisville Road, which they sold when they bought this home. They lived here the remainder of their lives; after their deaths, the family rented the home for a while before it was sold.   

The home was later purchased by Jennie’s niece, Lisa, and her husband Robin Stout.
