1890

George and Lurinda Bess Yearsley purchased this property from Luman Shurtleff and lived in a little log house here.  In 1890, they built two rooms of red sand-rolled brick (a sand-based mortar wash applied to the brick).

In 1947, the Yearsley’s daughter, Lurinda Yearsley, and her husband, Dean M. Parker, acquired the home and built a new frame masonry red veneer brick house around the original two rooms. The Parkers raised their family here.
