Leslie and Aileen Doone Crowther built this home in 1955.  The Dixon Creek runs along the west property boundary.  Leslie was a welder and builder and had a nice shop in the back part of the property.  In the beginning, the home was small.  An addition of matching construction was later built onto the home as the family grew.

The Crowthers raised four children here, and Leslie and Aileen resided in the home until their deaths.  Their son Travis and his wife Christine built a home a couple of blocks west at 1000 North Harrisville Road.
