This house was built in 1898 by Green and Christine Hegsted Taylor on property originally owned by Green’s father, Pleasant Green Taylor (wife Jane). Two rooms were built with two additional rooms added later (1918). It is constructed of red brick later painted white.
It became the home of Alma Richard and Florence Leggett Harris (Alma was the grandson of Harrisville’s founder, Martin H. Harris) who lived here with their family for many years. After Alma and Florence passed away, their grandson, Richard, and wife Tammy Harris lived here.
