Doctor Hicks, a veterinarian, was the first known owner of this home.  The house is frame masonry veneer construction, and Doctor Hicks had an office on the west end of the house.  A family with the last name of Springer lived here next. 

In 1961, Harold and Norma Ferrin bought the home.  In 1969 they moved to Pleasant View to care for Harold’s elderly mother.  Their son Conrad and his wife Kristen Crowther Ferrin lived here for a few months before the home was sold to Martin and Velda Spangler.  Martin was a beekeeper and maintained some hives on the back property.  The home is currently owned by a relative of the Spangler’s.
