1875

Early settlers, Pleasant Green and first wife, Clarissa Lake Taylor, built a two-room adobe house with eighteen-inch-thick walls on the land grant he got from the U.S. Government.  In 1875, after he married a second wife, Mary Shurtleff, he added two more rooms.

In 1923-24, Fred Green Taylor, Pleasant Green’s grandson, acquired the home and property.  He remodeled the home and added the upstairs.

Henry R. and Sadie Parker purchased the property and lived here with their family until they built a smaller home next to this one at 1234 North Harrisville Road

Richard Tom and Elise Porter Larsen were living here when he became the second Mayor of Harrisville 1974-1976.

Others known to have lived here are Donald McEntire, and Dennis and Kathryn Probasco who lived here with their family and later sold it to current owners.
