J. Ben Maxfield put one half of a WWII barrack on property at 1078 N Harrisville Road, and the other half on a cement block foundation at 1068 North Harrisville Road. He made it into a comfortable small two-bedroom home which he rented out for a number of years. In 1974, it was purchased by renters Lynn (Ed) and Shanna Edwards who lived here until they built a new home at 1032 North Harrisville Road. The Edwards then rented the home to other young couples.
After years as a rental, the home was in need of repair. In 2000, the Edwards demolished their little “honeymoon house” and replaced it with a one level retirement home on the same lot. Timothy L. Feltner drew the house plan to fit on the narrow lot, and the Edwards then sold their home at 1032 North Harrisville to Timothy and his wife Kristin E. Feltner.
