The Lorin W. Crowther Family created a subdivision from the Crowther estate and sold a lot with acreage to Michael and Jennie Knight at 962 North Harrisville Road.  This was their desired location because it was across the street from his parents, Byron and Janice Knight (931 North Harrisville Road).

Mike and Jennie built a one-story ranch style home of frame stucco construction with a full basement on the lot. The garage of the home was put to good use as a motor bike repair workshop since their family enjoys riding motor bikes and has competed in places around the world.  

In 2021, when the family was mostly raised, Mike and Jennie sold this home and lived with Mike’s widowed mother, Janice Knight, for a short time while they completed the home they were building in Pleasant View. Their new home included a small, attached home for Janice; so, she sold her home at 931 North Harrisville Road and moved with Mike and Jennie to Pleasant View.
