West Harrisville Road is part of the original road through the settlement of Harrisville. The road began at the church (1300 North at the time) and then ran west to Farr West and Plain City. Later, when Highway 89 was built, the dirt, makeshift road in front of the church was paved and became a permanent part of West Harrisville Road.
*Much of the Information on the early homes was gathered and compiled by Ada Jensen Taylor in 1978. Additional information was gathered from interviews with Ben Maxfield, June Brown, Gary Larsson, Shanna Edwards, current homeowners, Weber County records, and family histories. This is definitely a work in progress – anyone with additional or conflicting information please email Harrisville City Historian Shanna Edwards at [email protected] or a member of the committee at [email protected].
